Delayed
Delayed tells you if an airline owes you compensation for a delayed, cancelled or overbooked flight, up to €600 under EU261 or UK261. Checking is free and shows every step. If you want to claim, it writes the letter for £15.
Why I built it
Why the letter costs £15
Claims firms take 25–35% of whatever the airline pays. That made sense when a person had to read your booking, work out whether the rules applied, find the airline’s claims address and write a proper letter.
Software does all of that in seconds now. So Delayed checks for free, charges £15 for the letter, and takes nothing from the payout. If you’re owed €600, you get €600.
You send the letter yourself. Delayed never contacts the airline, never files anything, and never acts for you.
An example
How it got to €600
This is the full reasoning Delayed gives for flight AF006 from Paris to New York, landing 5 hours 10 minutes late.
EU261 applies
The flight left from an EU airport, which puts it under the regulation whichever airline flies it. This one is Air France, Paris CDG to New York JFK.
EU261 Art. 3(1)
Distance: over 3,500 km
It’s 5,833 km from CDG to JFK, measured in a straight line between the two airports rather than the route flown. That’s the top band, worth €600.
EU261 Art. 7(4) · Art. 7(1)(c)
Delay: over 3 hours
The passenger reached their final destination 5 hours 10 minutes late. Compensation for a delay starts at 3 hours, counted on arrival.
Sturgeon (C-402/07, C-432/07) · Nelson (C-581/10)
Result: €600
If the airline says the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances, it has to prove it. The passenger doesn’t.

The 30-day check
Delayed launched on 9 September 2026. Like every app in the challenge, it gets 30 days. If people aren’t using it by then, I’ll shut it down and this page will say so.
